Boston Celtics center Kristaps Porzingis has suffered a lower left leg injury in Game 2 of the NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors, the team announced on Tuesday. Porzingis reportedly walked without a limp into Boston's media room after the game, but an MRI later revealed a right soleus strain.
The Celtics have announced that Porzingis will miss Game 4 of the NBA Finals as a result of the injury. No timeline has been given for his return.
Porzingis is averaging 14.3 points and 9.8 rebounds per game in the Finals. His injury is a major blow to the Celtics, who are currently trailing the Warriors 2-0 in the series.
