Former England and Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has announced his retirement from football at the end of the current season. The 37-year-old made the announcement on social media, revealing that he will be calling it a day after 19 years in the professional game.
Hart has had a glittering career, which has seen him win two Premier League titles, two FA Cups and the League Cup with Manchester City. He also represented England on 75 occasions and was part of the squad that reached the semi-finals of the 2018 World Cup.
Hart joined Celtic in the summer of 2021 and has played a key role in the club's recent success. He helped the Bhoys win the Scottish Premiership title in 2022 and also played a key role in their run to the Europa League final that same year.
Hart has now decided to call it a day after an incredibly successful career. He leaves the game with a reputation as one of the finest goalkeepers of his generation.
