Fulham in must-win clash against high-flying Newcastle
Fulham's renaissance under Marco Silva has faltered of late, with the Cottagers registering just one win since the restart and slipping out of the top six
Silva has called for his players to show more "character and personality" following their disappointing defeat to Tottenham last weekend, and they will need to do just that against a Newcastle side who are flying high in fourth place.
This will be a match between two teams with very different ambitions. Fulham are looking to secure a top-half finish, while Newcastle are aiming for a place in Europe.
Fulham team news
Fulham are without a number of key players for the visit of Newcastle, with Aleksandar Mitrovic, Neeskens Kebano, and Manor Solomon all ruled out through injury.
Silva is likely to make changes to the team that started against Tottenham, with Willian and Carlos Vinicius pushing for recalls.
Newcastle team news
Newcastle have no fresh injury concerns ahead of the trip to Fulham, although Bruno Guimaraes is still suspended.
Eddie Howe is likely to name a similar team to the one that beat Southampton last weekend.
What the managers have said
Fulham manager Marco Silva: "We need to show more character and personality. We need to be more brave on the ball and take more risks."
Newcastle manager Eddie Howe: "Fulham are a good team with a good manager. They have some dangerous players, so we will need to be at our best to get a result."
Prediction
This is a tough match to call, but Newcastle's form has been excellent of late and they will be confident of getting a result at Craven Cottage.
